Creating Drawing Views

The Base View tool creates a 2D view from the 3D solids and surfaces in modelspace
The Base View tool automatically displays a scaled preview of the model attached to the cursor
A contextual ribbon tab displays relevant controls
If the Type option is set to Base and Projected, rather than Base Only, you can automatically create projected views after placing the base view
Each view creates a new Drawing View object, which includes a boundary similar to a viewport but does not print
Projected views are simply projections of existing views, and they support eight standard view projections, 4 orthographic and 4 isometric
